Indication.

Composition.

Janosia Ashoka Ø 5%, Aletris Farinosa Ø 2.5%, Helonias Dioica Ø 2.5%, in sugar syrup base Q.S.

Action of Individual Drugs.

The remedies listed below play a role in relieving & curing the following medical signs & symptoms :
Janosia Ashoka (Ashoka tree - Indian) : Relieves weakness and physical emaciation of females suffering from long lasting uterine complaints. Indicated especially in cases of irregular menses; delayed, scanty, or excessive menses; amenorrhoea at puberty, metrorrhagia (spotting), menstrual colic (pain) and leucorrhoea.
Helonias Dioica (Unicorn root) : A perennial herb recommended for the following conditions: sensation of weakness, dragging and weight in the sacrum and pelvis; tendency to prolapse and other malpositions of the womb; menses too frequent and profuse, pruritis vulvae, backache after miscarriage, profound melancholy and irritability.
Aletris Farinosa (Stargrass) : Especially suitable for anaemic girls with a relaxed and tired disposition. Useful in conditions such as: premature and profuse menses, with labor-like pains; uterine prolapse, leucorrhoea due to weakness and anaemia, and habitual tendency to abortion.

Dosage.

One teaspoon full, twice a day, recommended for all age groups, or as prescribed by the physician.

Dosage for specific conditions.

1.  As a general tonic for menstrual irregularities & leucohorrea (discharge):
1 teaspoon full, twice a day, on a daily basis.
2.  During Dysmenorrhoea (pain), Menorrhagia (excessive bleeding), Metrorrhagia (bleeding between periods):
1 teaspoon full, every three hours, till signs & symptoms subside.
3.  During Amenorrhoea (absent or delayed menses), Oligomenorrhoea (scanty menses):
1 teaspoon full, thrice a day, till the appearance of normal menstrual flow.

Contraindications.

Lukona should be avoided when pregnant or if pregnancy is suspected. Always consult your physician when in doubt.
